Sound of the Mountain is really good production from year 1954. In the world of cinematography, some great films have been recorded, but Sound of the Mountain deserves special attention. It's probably the most known Drama movie and it's really entertaining. It wasn't easy to leave the cinema, when I saw it first time. You do not have to fall in love with a Drama to enjoy this movie. I wasn't a fan of Drama flicks so it's fair to say I never thought I'd love Sound of the Mountain. Now sit up and watch, I'm 100% sure, you won't be disappointed.... Show more

The businessman Ogata Shingo works with his son Shuichi, who is his secretary, and they live in the suburbs with their wives Yasuko and Kikuko. Shuichi has an affair and an unmarried couple with Kikuko. Yasuko dedicated her whole life to the family, but Shingo only married her because her older sister died. Kikuko is the pride and joy of Shingo and they are close to each other. Fusako, the daughter of Shingo and Yasuko, unexpectedly leaves her husband and arrives at Shingo with her two children. Shingo checks and finds the address of Shuichi's lover. Meanwhile, Kikuko goes to the hospital and Shingo finds out that she is pregnant, but decided to quit the child.... Show more
