I would like to recommend to everyone the director's version, extended by more than twenty minutes, of additional scenes, which gives a fuller picture of the film and in an interesting way explains some issues completely omitted in the cinema release. In the world of cinematography, some great films have been recorded, but The Monuments Men deserves special attention. The film gave me a very strange feeling, deep inside me. It wasn't easy to leave the cinema, when I saw it first time. I couldn't find any single bad thing in that movie. It is 100/100 and sets the standard for every other movie in this genre. In 1943, the American Professor Frank Stokes convinced President Roosevelt that the art stolen by the German should be retrieved and he recruits six art experts to form the Monuments Men's unit to travel to Europe with him to search the treasures. On the arrival, they split to several cities to guide the Allies to find the arts to return them to the owners.
